Is there anything more exciting in spring that a fringed parrot tulip? I didn’t think so either. I adore tulips and luckily the deer in my garden are not interested in these paper sculpted tulips. The center stamen is sculpted from clay and each petal is hand-dyed, fringed, wired and folded into place. The heavy cardstock leaves are painted with goauche and creased for a realistic leaf appearance.
